GEOTHERMICA Call preannounced at GeoTHERM
MS. SUSANNA GALLONI, EC PROJECT OFFICER, OFFICIALLY PREANNOUNCE A GEOTHERMICA JOINT CALL AT GEOTHERM - EXPO IN OFFENBURG
Today at the PtJ booth during the GeoTHERM Expo, GEOTHERMICA partners with EC Project Officer, Ms. Susanna Galloni, officially preannounced a spring opening of the Call for Geothermal Projects "Accelerating the deployment of geothermal energy in Europe".
From 1st of January this year 13 European countries and the EC joined forces to accelerate the deployment of geothermal energy under the name GEOTHERMICA. This network will publish a multi-million call for innovative geothermal projects early April.
This new funding opportunity offered by GEOTHERMICA is directly aligned with the Europe aim to increase the share of renewable energy for direct heating and cooling, industrial processes, power generation and energy storage. GEOTHERMICA will call for innovative demonstration projects and technology development projects that accelerate geothermal energy deployment. Projects will deliver outcomes by 2021. Joint projects will have a strong industry participation. Project proposals will meet both, GEOTHERMICA and national/ regional funding rules.
